By accessing and using What's Your Brain Age? ("the Quiz"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Quiz.
Purpose and Scope
The Quiz is provided for educational and entertainment purposes only. It is designed to give you a general, informal estimate of cognitive performance relative to age-based norms. The results are not intended to be precise, definitive, or actionable in a clinical context.
Not a Clinical Diagnostic Tool
The Quiz is not a medical device, clinical assessment, or diagnostic tool. It has not been validated for clinical use and should not be used to diagnose, treat, or make decisions about any medical or psychological condition, including but not limited to dementia, Alzheimer's disease, ADHD, traumatic brain injury, or any other cognitive disorder.
Not a Substitute for Professional Evaluation
The Quiz is not a substitute for a professional neuropsychological evaluation, cognitive screening, or any form of clinical assessment conducted by a qualified healthcare provider. If you have concerns about your cognitive health, memory, or mental functioning, please consult a licensed neuropsychologist, physician, or other qualified healthcare professional.
No Medical Advice
Nothing in the Quiz or its results constitutes medical advice. The "brain age" score, lifestyle recommendations, and any other information presented are general in nature and are not tailored to your individual health circumstances. You should not make health decisions based on your Quiz results.
Accuracy and Limitations
While the Quiz draws on published cognitive research and validated task paradigms, the "brain age" estimate is an approximation. Many factors that affect cognition -- including genetics, education, medication, time of day, fatigue, caffeine intake, and testing environment -- are not captured by this assessment. Results may vary between sessions.
Age Requirement
The Quiz is intended for adults aged 18 and older. By using the Quiz, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age.
Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and methodologies within the Quiz are the property of their respective owners. The cognitive task paradigms referenced (NIH Toolbox, Cambridge Brain Sciences, Stroop test, trail-making test, RAVLT) are established scientific methodologies; our implementation is original.
Limitation of Liability
The Quiz is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability for any damages arising from your use of or reliance on the Quiz or its results, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the Quiz after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
